Introduction

The person behind Eclectic is Chef Reuben – a skilled culinary artist with a big dream of making a name for himself through his delightful dishes. His journey begins with crafting a recognisable brand that people can connect with and remember.
Design Brief

Chef Reuben aspired to have his name associated with a refined and elegant theme. He approached us with a well-defined vision, expressing his desire for a logo that incorporates shades of gold and black. Specifically, he envisioned a logo featuring an ‘E’ monogram that represents the essence of Eclectic.
In providing us with a succinct and focused brief, Chef Reuben also provided us with an Italic font for his name, with the monogram ‘E’ to share the same font style. This monogram was to be positioned within a golden circle.
Furthermore, he wanted the designer to create a second option, an option where the designer would take his core idea and come up with their own variation.

After much consideration, the client chose to go with the designer’s reindition of the design concept
Typography

The typography used in Eclectic employs a combination of two distinct fonts.
The main focus of the logo, the brand name Eclectic, features an elegant script font called Bestaline.
The sub text, the name of the chef, Chef Reuben, is represented by simple san serif font by the name of Montserrat.
Together, these fonts contribute to a cohesive and stylish visual identity for Eclectic by Chef Reuben.
